South San Francisco-based Marea Therapeutics, a developer of cardiometabolic medicines, announced that it raised $190 million in Series A and B fundings from Third Rock Ventures, Sofinnova Investments, Forbion, Perceptive Xontogeny Venture Fund, venBio, AlphaWave Global, Omega Funds and Surveyor Capital. San Francisco AI Factory Inc. has raised $15 million from Sequoia and other investors. Factory is a startup that uses AI to help businesses streamline coding tasks and has so far raised a total of $20 million.

SewerAI, a Walnut Creek-based AI and cloud-driven sewer condition assessment company, announced the completion of a $15 million Series B funding round led by Innovius Capital, with additional funding from Emerald VC, Epic Ventures, Suffolk Ventures, Bentley Systems, Burnt Island Ventures and notable individual investors including Zachary Bookman, founder and CEO of OpenGov, and the CEOs of several elite AI and computer vision companies.
