Custom field names everywhere
Custom inspection fields now carry your names into exported reports and filters, OpenGov customers can see which inspections failed to sync, and admins can delete tags they no longer use.
NASSCO gives every inspection ten custom fields. Since July you could name them on the project spec and read those names on the inspection dashboard. The names stopped there. Exported PDFs still said Custom Field 1, and the filter menu still asked you to remember which slot held the invoice number. Both now show the name you chose.
Rename fields from Project Settings
Open a project, choose Edit Settings, and pick Custom Fields on the PACP, LACP, or MACP spec. Name any of the ten slots, or clear a name to reset it. Labels live on the shared spec, so the dialog warns you when other projects use that spec before you save.
Names reach the deliverable
Exported PDF and HTML reports and the Custom tab on the review page now show your label with the NASSCO slot number under it. A client reads Basin ID, and your QC team still sees which of the ten slots it maps to. Filter and search options use the label when every inspection in view shares one spec, and fall back to the slot number when they do not.
See what OpenGov did not take
An inspection that failed to reach OpenGov used to vanish from the sync. A missing or unrecognized asset ID left no record, so a failed inspection looked identical to one that had never been tried. The inspections page now carries an OpenGov Sync Status column, off until you turn it on, that separates synced from waiting from failed. Filter to the failures, correct the asset IDs, and export again. The status travels into CSV exports for anyone reconciling outside Pioneer.
Delete tags you stopped using
Tags pile up. Old project codes and typos sat in every picker with no way to remove them. The tag manager popover now lists your tags with recent ones first, and account admins can rename or delete any of them.
Improvements6›
- ReportsFile naming formats accept {video_index} and {report_index}, so videos and reports carry sequential numbers the way snapshots already did. Teams working to a client naming spec stop renaming files by hand.
- ReportsThe summary page of a MACP report now shows Rim to Invert, Rim to Grade, and Date of Inspection in place of the pipe length columns that never applied to manholes.
- AutoCodeQAI checks footage counter progression across the whole video and flags a counter that freezes while the camera moves forward, runs backwards, or resets late in the run.
- ProjectsInspection map labels show lengths and diameters in metric for accounts working in metric.
- ProjectsNew projects start with Active status.
- InspectionsAdd Quick Observation stays disabled until you select an observation.
API1›
- APIThe project spec endpoint accepts and returns custom-field slot labels, so integrators can set field names without going through Pioneer.
Integrations2›
- IntegrationsAccounts on the OpenGov integration can choose whether Pioneer closes a work order once its tasks finish, so agencies that own work-order lifecycle in OpenGov keep that control.
- IntegrationsLateral and mainline Length Surveyed pulled from Unearth convert to feet.
