AutoHeader fills in your inspection headers

AutoHeader fills blank inspection headers from the video, the Inspections page gets rebuilt filters and bookmarks, Work Orders brings your CMMS into Pioneer, and Command Center runs scheduled tasks and exits beta mode.

Your crews already narrate the address, hold a whiteboard up to the camera, and burn the date into the video overlay. Then someone in the office types those same details into the inspection header by hand. AutoHeader reads that evidence from the video and fills in the blank header fields for you, so inspections reach review with their headers complete.

AutoHeader fills blank header fields from the video

Select inspections on the Inspections page and choose Run AutoHeader from the Actions menu. AutoHeader listens to the operator's narration, reads the on-screen overlay and title cards, and reads whiteboards held up to the camera, including on 360° MACP video. It fills address, city, inspection date, purpose, and work order on PACP, LACP, and MACP inspections, and reads cover size, shape, and material from MACP footage. Each run covers up to 100 inspections.

AutoHeader writes a value only when the evidence agrees, and it leaves every value your team entered untouched. When the video contradicts the header, AutoHeader tags the inspection AutoHeader Mismatch so QC knows where to look. An uncertain read gets an AutoHeader Low Confidence tag in place of a value.

To skip the manual step, check Run AutoHeader after upload in the upload panel. AutoHeader then runs on each video as soon as it finishes processing.

A rebuilt Inspections page: filters, bookmarks, and columns

The Inspections page is where your team spends its day, so we rebuilt how you narrow it down. Every active filter now sits as a chip in one filter bar above the table. Click a chip to change it or clear it. Checkbox and Yes/No filters apply the moment you click, so the table updates while the menu stays open for your next pick. Filter search also finds the names you already know, so Any Structural 4/5 still turns up ST4 Count and ST5 Count.

Choose which filters start on the bar under Account Settings, Preferences, Pinned Filters, and drag them into the order you use. City is now a searchable list of the cities in your account, and you can filter on NASSCO Quick Ratings (QSR, QMR, and QOR) directly.

Bookmarks sit as tabs across the top of the page. Each one saves its filters and columns to your Pioneer account, so it follows you to any browser, and its menu lets you update, rename, duplicate, or delete it. The Columns button picks which of the table's columns you see, and the Default preset puts the standard set back. A compact header puts AutoCode and every bulk action in one Actions menu, with a switch between Table and SewerSheet. Open an inspection and come back, and your bookmark, filters, and columns are where you left them.

Your CMMS work orders inside Pioneer

Agencies connected to Cityworks, Trimble Unity Maintain, or OpenGov Cartegraph can open Work Orders in Pioneer and see their work orders beside the inspections that answer them. Search by work order number or description, sort by ID or created date, and filter by your CMMS's own status values and departments. Pioneer remembers the account and departments you chose last time.

Open a work order to see its linked assets, which of them have Pioneer inspections, and the status of each inspection. Preview the work order's photos and files, jump to an asset on the map, or open the record in your CMMS. If your integration writes back to the CMMS, editors can reassign a work order from Pioneer and the change lands in Cityworks or Cartegraph. Work Orders carries a Beta label and is open to every account with a connected CMMS.

Command Center runs on a schedule and leaves beta

A weekly backlog check or a monthly risk summary used to mean asking Command Center the same question again each time. Scheduled tasks ask it for you. Open Scheduled tasks in Command Center, describe what the task should do, set when it runs, and list who should get the result. Each run emails its report to that list, and you can edit or archive the task at any time.

Command Center dropped its Beta label in September. Your chat history groups by date and scrolls back through every chat you have run. An unread badge tells you when a long answer finished while you worked elsewhere, or when a teammate added to a shared chat.

You can now ask Command Center about cleaning records and, for accounts with OpScore, operator efficiency. Ask for an exact set of pipes and it delivers that set as a CSV or GeoJSON file you can load into GIS. Map files it builds open offline in Pioneer's CAD Plan style with their own basemap, and maps inside the chat have zoom controls.

Improvements11›
  • ProjectsSort the Projects table by any column header, including stat columns such as Inspections, Length Surveyed, Exported, and the per-status counts.
  • ProjectsEach project shows its status as a labeled chip beside its name, and one row menu now holds status, expected counts, and project settings.
  • ProjectsSelecting an asset on the Inspection Map outlines it on the map, so you can see which pipe or manhole the details panel describes.
  • Risk & RehabSelecting a pipe on the Risk map outlines it on the map.
  • PioneerSort My Uploads by date, file count, video count, or size. Hover a Processing status to see which files are holding the batch open.
  • InspectionsThe Point Cloud measurement box in Review adds a millimeter reading, so metric crews see 250 mm instead of a rounded 0.25 m.
  • InspectionsClicking the Reviewed tile on the Inspections dashboard filters the list to reviewed inspections, like the other status tiles.
  • ReportsThe {snapshot_index_padded} file naming token numbers snapshots with four digits (0001, 0002) for clients who require padded names.
  • PioneerWhen one event triggers a burst of notifications, you get the first email right away and the rest in a single digest, instead of hundreds of separate emails.
  • PioneerClicking a Pioneer push notification opens the page it refers to.
  • PioneerThe navigation footer shows your avatar and email, and links to Account Settings, where Log out now lives.
Integrations1›
  • IntegrationsOpenGov Cartegraph syncs sign back in and retry after a session expires, so exports and imports resume without a manual reconnect.
API1›
  • APIThe inspection pipe-connections endpoint returns plain string codes for inspections imported from NASSCO v6 databases, and orders outlets first so Pipe_Number comes out right.
Fixes22›
  • ReportsMACP report PDFs print full observation descriptions, remarks, and four-letter codes instead of cutting them off.
  • ReportsMACP report PDFs show the whole observations table, including the Grade column.
  • ReportsLength fields in report headers round to one decimal, so Total Length reads 141.3 ft.
  • ReportsLACP report summaries show Lateral Segment Reference.
  • ReportsExport file names drop characters such as slashes, tabs, and # that had broken export folder structures.
  • ReportsExports no longer stall on PACP inspections over pipe-connection snapshots that only MACP inspections need.
  • ReportsWhen an export or submittal is blocked, Pioneer names the inspection and the reason.
  • AutoCodePioneer holds an inspection back from AutoCode Complete until every observation is reviewed.
  • InspectionsMACP inspections wait for their 3D model before they enter prescreen.
  • InspectionsRe-coding a MACP observation to an ungraded code clears its old grade.
  • InspectionsSet 6:00 keeps pipe connection values in the right units when you review in metric.
  • InspectionsTags you add on the truck stay on the inspection after it syncs to the cloud.
  • InspectionsTags load and apply when you select 300 or more inspections.
  • InspectionsThe review page stays up when you resize between desktop and mobile widths or rotate a tablet.
  • InspectionsAccepting a digital submittal leaves the sender's original inspections in the sender's account.
  • PioneerAdding a second upload batch while another uploads no longer leaves the new files stuck at 0%.
  • TruckMulti-hour truck inspections upload to the cloud instead of retrying without end.
  • ProjectsStarting a lateral inspection from the map works on GIS layers with yes/no and date fields.
  • ProjectsGIS layers finish refreshing instead of sitting at Processing.
  • Risk & RehabThe Asset ID filter in Risk & Rehab matches regardless of letter case.
  • PioneerCommand Center reports with accented letters or special punctuation in their names preview and download.
  • PioneerWhen a Command Center turn fails, the chat retries it instead of going quiet.
